Integrating Data

Do you have information located in more than one database? Is there value in combining that information in such a way as to report the full picture or to analyze the data as if it were in the same place? Or maybe there is information on the Internet that can be “married” together with your in-house data to provide a super-analysis. This is data integration that can provide you with a higher level of intelligence.

Where might this “integratable” data be located? First there is your main operating database. Then there is your accounting system such as Quickbooks; then your marketing database such as Goldmine. You may have some homemade spreadsheets used to keep certain financial analyses. Integrating from these various sources of data is very possible, desirable, and valuable.
